Wheelchair Adventure RACE - GLENMORE FOREST - 2020
What Is it?

10K Off-road race that is suitable for off-road wheelchair users.

Race against other wheelchair users on forest trails through the heart of the Cairngorm National Park.

Compete in your everyday chair, Handcycle, Mountain Trike or e-tech chair i.e e-trike or Boma.

How can I take part?
-
The trails around our course are rugged but can be possible in an everyday manual wheelchair with the assistance of some budding team members.

If you think you are capable of pushing 10k across rugged forest trails, and a total of 137m of ascent without an off-road wheelchair to help you out, then go for it!

Compete in your choice of chair.
Our *categories are:-
Manual everyday chairs

Manual everyday chairs with off-road attachment e.g. freewheel/rgk

Mountain Trike

Handcycles

E-tech off-road wheelchairs with a maximum speed of 8mph.

Choose to compete as an individual or as a **team of up to 4 people.
*Please note, categories may change dependant upon the number of competitors of each category we have register.
*Teams must consist of a maximum of 1 wheelchair user.
Who can take part?

Anyone who uses a wheelchair full or part-time.

Competitors over the age of 16 can race as individuals, those under 16 can race as part of a team accompanied by at least 1 adult.

If you feel like you will need a hand around the course you can enter as a team of up to 4 people!

Where can i stay?

We do not provide accommodation, however, we have compiled a list of nearby accessible accommodation.

Glenmore and Badaguish campsite both have wheelchair-accessible toilets and wet rooms. If you are able to camp, this will be helpful for competitors that need indoor, adapted accommodation.
